A couple times a year during the holidays we enjoy a tasty homemade Chocolate Peppermint Milkshake.

Making milkshakes is a fun activity for the kids and entire family. If you happen to have kids in middle or high school it makes a great study break from their focus on final exams. It’s more art than science…sometimes recipes can get in the way of simple fun and a little creativity. So put on some Christmas music and have a blast!

Here’s how we make a great Chocolate peppermint Milkshake

Several scoops of Peppermint Bark Ice Cream
A few scoops of Chocolate Ice Cream
Add Whole Milk to desired consistency
Combine in a blender
Top with whipped cream and Crushed Candy Canes

Let the kids be creative! Get out the sprinkles and candy canes. Have fun with the whipped cream…you only live once!

And if the adults in the house still have room after enjoying a Peppermint Milkshake, then be sure to try a Holiday Mojito.

We don’t have a Whipped Cream Maker yet but  we know some folks who do. They get great reviews and it’s on our Christmas List!
